After an incredible 45 years of dedicated service to the Bribie Island community, Dr Laurence Khoo will be retiring at the end of December 2025.
Dr Khoo has been an integral part of healthcare on the island for nearly half a century, caring for generations of families, mentoring young doctors, and contributing immensely to the wellbeing of our local community. His compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting mark on countless patients and colleagues alike.
We sincerely thank Dr Khoo for his outstanding contribution to general practice and to the people of Bribie Island. His presence will be greatly missed by all of us here at Welsby Parade Medical Centre and by the many patients who have come to know him over the years.
As we farewell Dr Khoo, we are pleased to welcome Dr Anita Patel, who will be joining our team in January 2026. Dr Patel is an experienced and caring general practitioner who will continue to provide quality healthcare and ongoing support for Dr Khoo’s patients. We look forward to introducing her to the community and are confident she will be a wonderful addition to our practice.
